MaxiNutrition was previously on Red Technology eCommerce, which limited the team’s ability to make changes quickly and efficiently. Hardcoded functionality slowed updates, restricted testing of new features, and increased reliance on developers.

Shopify Plus emerged as the solution. With its built-in functionality, the platform promised a flexible, scalable foundation for MaxiNutrition to grow while simplifying management and operational overhead.

Migrating to Shopify Plus gave MaxiNutrition greater autonomy. The blubolt team unlocked configurable settings, allowing the brand to adapt quickly to changing requirements and test new apps and features independently. Automation in Shopify reduced repetitive administrative tasks, freeing the team to focus on growth.
A clean, user-focused design.
MaxiNutrition wanted a premium, uncluttered design that emphasised product quality and subject expertise while also enabling customers to easily digest product information and navigate the site. To achieve this, blubolt created:
- Colourful ingredient imagery to highlight raw, natural materials across a multitude of blocks, as well as behind the product cut-out on the PDP
- Comparison tables and interactive product USP content to educate customers
- Alternative blog landing pages for top content categories (for example, nutrition, bodybuilding, sports, and training) with a slider so users can flick between categories and find information easily
- A bespoke account area, an account slide-out with login content and account quick links once the user is logged in.
The result is a visually engaging, science-backed, and intuitive shopping experience that guides users through the brand journey and simplifies decision-making.
Enhanced checkout, product bundles & gift-with-purchase functionality.
The Shopify Plus migration enabled new functionality, improving the purchase journey:
- One-step checkout for faster conversions
- New product bundles PDP with Shopify Bundles
- Gift-with-purchase functionality
- Integration with apps including Klaviyo (email and SMS marketing), Yotpo (UGC, reviews, and loyalty), TrustPilot (store reviews), Boost Commerce (search and filtering), and Smart Wishlist (customer wishlists)
